If it would hurt your career to be seen discussing marijuana, you might not want to chat with us. Sometimes the topic comes up. This is a letter I received from someone who logs into RFM regularly.

"My job requires a security clearance an random drug screening. If it had been noticed by supervision that I was reading a chat discussing controlled substances, I would have had a week off without pay while I was investigated at the very least. More likely, I would have been given an immediate layoff. Thre is the possibility that my clearance could have been pulled (making me inable to work in the field I am trained for) for three years." 

If you are in a work situation where certain topics of discussion are prohibited, you should not log on. We cannot guarantee your safety. This is a freedom-of-speech place that takes a stand favoring the legalization of marijuana as well as giving fervent support to gun control.

We are also supportive of all parents who wish to supervise their children's online lives. In that light, we wish to inform parents that some of the conversations that take place in our chat room are about real life, and real life can't be manufactured to follow a script.
